Must-Have Baby Registry Items from Babies “R” Us!
Being pregnant and thinking of all the gear necessary for your new little one can be so stressful! There is SO much information out there and there are SO many items that you may, or may not need for you and your baby. So I am here to show you my must-haves from my baby registry this time around!
A baby registry is a great way to determine the items you would like and avoid receiving items you don’t feel that you will use. It also is a great way to get excited with your partner and/or support system as you can go in store, use a bar code scanner, and browse and scan the items you would like as you imagine your newborn baby using them!
We created our baby registry at Babie“R”Us and we were able to find all of the incredible items that we love today! We had so much fun choosing these items and are so thankful for a one-stop-shop for all of our favourite must-haves!
Here are my must-have registry items for the baby this time around!!
Bassinet
A bed-side bassinet is one of our number one items because I knew that I would want the baby to sleep next to me for the first little while. It makes feeds so much easier for me as I don’t have to get out of bed throughout the night to feed. I can just bring the baby into bed with me, feed, and put them back to sleep.
We chose the Maxi Cosi Iora Bedside Bassinet to match our room. This bassinet was our first choice because it's lightweight, folds down easily for travel, and has breathable mesh siding so that I can see the baby at all times.
Harmony Manual Breast Pump from Medela (+ Accessories!)
Medela breast pumps are what I have always used with the boys. With the twins I was pumping and bottle feeding for over a month before breastfeeding so I used the Medela Freestyle Flex, which was on my registry with the twins from Babies“R”Us also!
This time around, I know I will be able to use the double electric pump, but I also know that feeding one baby will be different than two. I will need to make sure that I can also empty my other breast and the Harmony Manual Breast Pump seemed to me like the best way to do that. I also thought it would be great to have when out and about and needing some relief.
Medela is such a great brand and they have some incredible accessories too! I would highly suggest a pumping bra or bandeau for hands-free pumping, sanitizing bags, extra bottles, and a storage system!
Pack N’ Play/ Playard
A Pack N Play is a MUST-HAVE in my opinion! We chose the MUV Lil Snooze Deluxe III Playard Oxford Grey, which is a pack and play that had a removable bassinet and flip-over change table so that we could use it as a change table station and sleeping spot for our baby on our main floor. Having a few different change stations and comfortable sleeping areas for your newborn is SO helpful and this ONE item helps us have all of that!
It’s also easy to fold and travel with so when visiting relatives, you can also have a place for your little one to sleep, play, AND change!
Sophie the Giraffe
Can you really have a baby and not have a Sophie!?
I don’t know what it is about this toy/teether, but all babies seem to love it and she looks super cute too! Apparently she’s been around since 1961! And she’s been a hit ever since.
Stroller
A stroller is definitely a must-have for us. From taking the baby to doctor appointments to going for walks to get out of the house, an easy-to-use, smooth stroller definitely was put on our registry. We ended up choosing the Cybex Gazelle S Stroller with the added bassinet attachment. This stroller is smooth, adaptable, and has great carrying capacity. It also looks beautiful and folds down easily (which is a HUGE feature for me!)
We also loved this stroller since it comes with an adapter that fits our infant carseat that we have already, making it easy to pop the baby on and off the stroller for those doctor visits and appointments!
Crib Sheets
I think that crib sheets should be on every baby registry. With the amount of spit ups, and blow outs, its always good to have a few extras around for a quick change! We chose the Koala Baby - 2 Piece Percale Sheets because they are soft and have cool comfort. There are many patterns to choose from to fit the style/decor of your nursery.
