I did it!

That feeling when you realize “I did it!”

And you may think I’m talking about birthing our baby, which I definitely am, but “I did it” means so much more in this moment.

It means that I broke out of my previous birth trauma

It means that I advocated for the birth I wanted

It means that I overcame our hardships that week and trusted my body

It means that I chose the supports I wanted and needed

It means that I birthed our beautiful baby girl, surrounded by love, encouraged with kindness, and supported in the most beautiful ways

I am forever grateful for our sweet Cali girl, and for this moment that I will never forget.
